The following modifications have been performed on this radio: the indent on the tuning knob has been removed, making tuning smooth and easy; anti-chuffing mod, which unmutes the audio for seamless reception while tuning up and down the bands.
Here is why I'm selling for parts/repair. My experience has been like this. The radio will work perfectly sometimes for weeks, sometimes for days, sometimes only hours at a time, battery or wall wart. Then at some point without warning, it will not power on, battery or wall wart. After source of power has been removed for a few days, radio works again 100% when plugged in or batteries installed.
Missing battery cover. Radio only, no accessories.
